Nicole Allen, director of open education for SPARC and a speaker at UNT's Open Access Symposium 2016, is one of two recipients of the Leadership Award for Open Education Excellence awarded by the Open Education Consortium.
For the Open Access Symposium 2016 (there's still time to register!), we've added to the program an optional lunchtime discussion of strategies for facilitating a welcoming atmosphere in the open-access community, co-facilitated by Chealsye Bowley and Brett Currier. We hope there will be time to hear a summary of the discussion during the open forum at the end of the symposium. Please consider taking part in this discussion and ensuring that this and future symposia provide room for all voices to be heard.
