Data Visualization and Poster Design Workshop

Have you ever wondered what it takes to turn your research into an award-winning academic poster?

This Data Visualization and Poster Design Workshop is a follow-up to a Lecture held earlier in the week.

This hands-on workshop is led by Dr. Jesse Hamner, from UNT Academic Computing and User Services, and is open to all UNT faculty, staff, and students. In this workshop, attendees will have a chance to use software tools, such as Inkscape and GIMP for their drawing, layout, and photo-prep poster needs and the advantages and disadvantages to other software options. Additionally, attendees will learn how to provide wider dissemination to their research by including their academic posters in the open access UNT Scholarly Works repository.

This lecture is part of 2013 Open Access Week at UNT and is sponsored by the UNT Libraries.
