Session 6: Supporting OA publishing initiatives

About This Session

The University of Texas at Austin Libraries are investing in OA initiatives in ways that support our authors and help create a more sustainable OA ecosystem. As the number of possible OA initiatives has increased over the past few years, we saw a need to better articulate our OA program goals and coordinate our workflows. This presentation will explain our approach to investing in OA initiatives (including how that has evolved over time), the composition of our working group, and the rubric we use to evaluate OA initiatives. Finally, we’ll address the successes and failures we’ve experienced as the program has developed.
