UNT's Open Access Symposium 2018 was held June 6–7, 2018, at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth in conjunction with the ACM/IEEE Joint Conference on Digital Libraries in 2018 (JCDL 2018). The theme was Open Medical and Health Information.

We are pleased to announce the draft schedule for the 2018 UNT Open Access Symposium, to be held in Fort Worth on June 6-7. We hope that you will agree that this year’s program looks as strong as ever.
Registration for the symposium will open soon, but in the meantime, we encourage you to book a hotel room (see travel and accommodations) and consider registering to attend one of the JCDL workshops taking place on June 6 (see information).

We are pleased to announce that Philip Bourne, the Stephenson Chair of Data Science, Director of the Data Science Institute and a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia and formerly the Chief Data Scientist at the NIH, will speak at the 2018 UNT Open Access Symposium.
