Call for Posters

We invite proposals from students and early-career professionals at UNT and other institutions to present posters on topics related to Open Access in higher education at the 11th annual UNT Open Access Symposium, to be held Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Embassy Suites in Denton. Posters may address OA in research, teaching, scholarly publishing, libraries, archives, or any of the disciplines.

Specific topics might include open science, open data, Open Educational Resources (OER), open textbooks, data management, digital scholarship, scholarly impact, college affordability, or open pedagogy, among others. Posters may describe research that is completed or under way.

Students will have the opportunity to present their poster during a joint poster session with the 2020 Society of Southwest Archivists Annual Meeting, to be held on Friday, May 22, 2020, 3–3:30 pm in the conference hotel.

Student poster presenters will need to register at the student rate (by April 1) to attend the OA Symposium. Posters can be mounted or unmounted but must fit an easel that is 36 inches wide and 48 inches tall, with a shelf at the bottom for supporting mounted posters and a clip to secure the top.

Poster abstracts will be accepted by email until Friday, January 31, 2020 Wednesday, February 5, 2020.

Submissions should be sent to john.martin@unt.edu and include "OA Symposium Poster" in the subject line.
